Motuoapa Bay Holiday Park is located 9 km north of Turangi and 40 km south of Taupo. An easy drive along State Highway One in both directions. We are adjacent to the new Motuoapa Bay Marina and a short walk to the lakefront, a short 100 m walk to the well-known Liquorice Café. The Motuoapa Bay Holiday Park provides holiday-makers with a real, genuine Kiwi holiday atmosphere.

Tokaanu Thermal Hot Pools & Walk

Soak, soothe and relax in the magical mineral waters of Tokaanu Thermal Pools.

Soothe muscles that have hiked the Tongariro Alpine Crossing or skied the slopes of Mt Ruapehu.

Our private, natural mineral pools, which range in temperature from 39˚C to 41˚C, are recommended before enjoying the large public pool that is heated with fresh chlorinated water to around 36 to 38 degrees celsius.

While you are with us, why not explore the Tokaanu Thermal Walk. Take a short walk around our natural thermal area. See steaming hot mineral pools set in sinter basins, and spluttering mud pots amongst attractive native bush.
